Departments

    Activities Carried Out

  • Inspection and assessment of documentations
  • Liaising with the partners
  • Logistic administration like stationary, drugs and supplies ,Computers and printers
  • Payments-NHIF, NSSF, KRA, INSURANCES
  • Accountability / finances , audit, accounts, fundraising
  • Report writing, proposals, record keeping / filing.
  • Human resource management (Staffing, personnel, salaries etc)
  • Procurement (purchase of items)

    Activities Carried Out

  • Antenatal services – examination, laboratory checkups, continuous care until delivery of the baby,
  • Vaccination –immunization of the children under five years and antenatal mothers,
  • Treatment of clients with minor ailments – minor illnesses,
  • Laboratory services (tests),
  • Growth monitoring (taking of weight, height, MUAC-middle upper arm circumference),
  • Nutritional screening and support,
  • Guidance and counseling,
  • HIV testing and counseling and care when necessary,
  • Referral and linkage,
  • Health education to all mothers and the other
  • Post natal services- family planning, examination head to toe, HIV testing

  • Carrying out routine testing for diseases like malaria, typhoid, brucella
  • Carrying out Antenatal profile
  • HIV testing and counseling
  • Participation in outreach services and community education
  • Attending trainings carried out by the ministry of health
  • Collecting and processing of samples to send to other referral labs like AMPATH
  • Report writing and data processing
  • Supervision from the Ministry of Health

  • Clerking of the patients /clients
  • Physical examination
  • Administration of drugs both orals and injectable
  • Cleaning and dressing of wounds
  • Doing the minor surgical procedures under local anesthesia like stitching cuts and I&D
  • Removing of foreign objects/bodies from the clients or patients
  • Providing consultation counseling services to clients/patients
  • Distribution of ARVs (Small comprehensive care center-CCC)
  • Referral of critical patient

  • Admission of mothers in labour
  • Conducting normal deliveries
  • Referral of complicated cases like previous scars, severe anemia and obstructed labour
  • Health education to mother in the maternity and when discharging home
  • Inspection from Diocese of Nakuru medical coordinator, Ministry of Health and other partners(USAID) very often to maintain good services for the client
  • On job training for and new changes and updates in the health sector
  • Training and supervision of the medical school students who were sent to the facility during the year
  • Infection prevention procedures
  • Applying kangaroo mother care for low birth weight babies
